A 17-year-old girl was arrested Thursday night in connection with a hit-and-run accident and cited for three offenses, including drunken driving.

Police responded to a report of a woman struck by a car in the parking lot of , 8989 S. Howell Ave., about 7:20 p.m. When officers arrived, they found that a legally-parked car was also hit.
Police got the driver's license plate number from a witness and were able to make contact with her via phone. She told police she was at and that her vehicle broke down in the 700 block of W. Puetz Road.
An officer met her at the movie theater and drove her to her vehicle's location. Police found the car was damaged in ways consistent with the accident scene at Target.
When the girl refused to answer questions, she was taken to the . There, she failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for drunken driving, with a preliminary blood-alcohol content was .15.
In addition to drunken driving, she was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and obstructing officers.
The woman who was hit was not injured.
