OAK CREEK, WI -- Oak Creek police were dispatched to the Oak Creek diner after an apparent case of dine-and-ditch was actually revealed to be a bit more complicated.

According to the report, police responded to the diner just after 4:30 p.m. on a report of a customer who skipped on their bill after eating $30 worth of food at the diner last week.

According to the police report, the diner stated she had a $30 credit from her last visit, but told police the business owner revoked that credit because "he said she was smoking in the bathroom."

An officer spoke with the business owner over the phone about the matter, confirming that the diner did indeed have the $30 credit.

Police advised the diner to contact the diner's owner later to solve the civil issue within the next week.
