Oak Creek Sonic Restaurant Closed, Rising Lease Costs Cited
Citing escalating land lease costs, The Oak Creek Sonic has closed.

OAK CREEK -- Sonic, the popular fast food restaurant known for its old-school fast food and drive-in dining, is no more.
The restaurant, formerly located at 8081 S. Howell Ave. in Oak Creek closed recently, due to the company's lease expiring.
Patch.com reached out to Sonic officials, who confirmed the restaurant closed over their lease agreement, and a company official said the cost of the new lease agreement had been greatly inflated and was not suitable for restaurant economics.

A sign posted on their front door said they "lost their lease" and advised customers to visit their Greenfield location at 4763 S 27th St.
The longtime tenant along S. Howell Ave. was located between the new Panda Express, and Landmark Credit Union and was situated just east of the Meijer and Woodman's food market.
