A 30-year-old Sussex man is facing drug charges after he was caught with marijuana while being apprehended for other crimes in West Bend.
James M. Reeves was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court Monday with one count of possession of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana. If convicted, he faces up to six months in jail and $1,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint:
On June 1, Waukesha County sheriff’s deputies were called to Reeves’ residence in the W24800 block of Stonegate Court to assist the West Bend Police Department. Officers from that department were looking for Reeves in connection with crimes in that community.
Officers made contact with Reeves and found a baggie of marijuana with him, weighing 0.6 grams.
He will make his initial appearance in court Oct. 8.
