Police Reports: 'I Have Your Social Security Number'

Frightening Phone Calls

Thursday, April 26 at 4:34 p.m.
A woman living on the 234N6600 block of Pewaukee Road called police Thursday after getting one to many scary phone calls. The 57-year-old Sussex woman apparently has received numerous phone calls over the last few weeks demanding payments between $6,000 and $13,000 in regards to a payday loan she never took out. The person says they have all her information, including her social security number, and can recite her bank account number correctly over the phone. Police are still investigating the problem.

Hit and Run While Out of Town

Thursday, April 26 at 5:31 p.m.
Police were called to a home on the N74W23000 block of Ridgeview Circle after a man noticed someone hit the car parked in his driveway and drove off. The family was apparently gone to Chicago and the son came home to find the damage. The mystery car traveled on the family’s front lawn before swiping the bumper of the car in the driveway, bending the hitch over. There are currently no suspects.

Break In, Smoke and Run

Saturday, April 28 at 5:04 p.m.
Two young men were caught breaking into a house on the W242N6200 block of Oak Drive Saturday to smoke some marijuana. A 17-year-old teen from Pewaukee and a 23-year-old man from Oconomowoc apparently knew the house was vacant before breaking in, however, they didn’t know a neighbor would be watching them do it. Police arrived and the two men ran out of the house. Police caught up and found two baggies of marijuana and a pipe on the men, along with “burglary tools” like a screwdriver. According to police, the two have a family member in the Sussex area.
