A Journal Sentinel report stated earlier this week that Trump's team "has been scouting locations ahead of a tentatively planned visit to the Milwaukee area on Thursday." That stop is reportedly going to center around the economy and manufacturing, according to a CNN report Monday.

While a place had yet to be determined, the Journal Sentinel reported that State Fair Park and the Harley-Davidson Museum were two places the team is considering.

Milwaukee Area Judge a Finalist for Supreme Court Nomination

President Trump is reportedly done interviewing potential nominees for an opening on the U.S. Supreme Court, and has narrowed his list down to four finalists.

Those finalists are Neil Gorsuch, who sits on the federal appears court in Denver; William H. Pryor Jr., who sits on the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals; Diane Sykes, a judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; and Thomas Hardiman of the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, according to a FOX 6 report.

Trump first mentioned Judge Sykes as a potential on the Supreme Court in early 2016.

About Judge Sykes

Diane Sykes is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and former Justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Former President George W. Bush nominated Sykes to the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals on November 14, 2003 and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in March 2004.

Sykes graduated from Brown Deer High School in 1976 and then earned a B.S. degree in journalism at Northwestern University in 1980 and a J.D. at Marquette University Law School in 1984.

If her last name sounds familiar, she married conservative Milwaukee talk show host Charlie Sykes in 1980. The couple had two children but divorced in 1999. Sykes left talk radio in late 2016 to pursue other endeavors.
