Victim Burns To Death Inside Car At Crash Scene: Sheriff
Deputies reported finding a car fully engulfed in flames, crashed up against a tree on the west side of the road.

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — One person is dead after the vehicle they were driving crashed into a tree and became engulfed in flames in Waukesha County.
Waukesha County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a car on fire on Ryan Road just north of Bayberry Dr. in the Town of Lisbon just after 2 a.m. Wednesday.
Deputies reported finding a car fully engulfed in flames, crashed up against a tree on the west side of the road. The local fire department arrived minutes later and put out the fire.

When the flames were quelled, investigators found the charred remains of a person inside.
When officials investigated the tragic scene, they reported that the driver was likely traveling south on Ryan Road, and left the road near a curve. Investigators say the driver continued their straight path, striking a large tree at the edge of a tree line. The vehicle then caught fire with the driver trapped inside.

Officials are reporting that there did not appear to be anyone else in the car. The crash remains under investigation.
The person's identity has not been released as of Wednesday morning. Patch will update this story as soon as more information comes available.
