Waukesha Motorist Dies After Minor Accident, Medical Emergency
One motorist is dead after police say the person collapsed immediately after a minor auto accident on Gascoigne Drive on Wednesday.

WAUKESHA, WI — One motorist is dead after police say the person collapsed immediately after a minor auto accident on Gascoigne Drive on Wednesday. Authorities say the nature of the crash did not appear to be a contributing factor to the victim's medical emergency.
Waukesha police responded to the intersection of Pewaukee Rd. and Gascoigne Drive just after 6 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries.
According to police reports, a motorist was driving southbound on Pewaukee Road and stopped for a pedestrian in the walkway. Police said the vehicle behind the stopped motorist ran into them at a "very slow speed with almost no damage."

Police reported that a thired car ran into the back of the second car. All three vehicles pulled onto Gascoigne out of traffic and exchanged insurance and contact information.
When Patch reached out to the Waukesha Police department regarding the incident, an official said that within two minutes of the incident, one of the motorists involved in the crash collapsed - just as a Waukesha County Sheriff's deputy was arriving on the scene.

Police said that CPR was immediately initiated, and the motorist was transported to the hospital, where they later died from an unspecified medical emergency.
Police told Patch that the manner of the crash did not appear to be a factor in the person's death, though the incident remained under investigation.
