Woman Arrested After 125 MPH Police Chase; Pursuit Lasts for 24 Miles
A police chase that started in Waukesha County ended with an arrest after the woman told a State Trooper that she was on drugs.

WISCONSIN — A 52-year-old Pennsylvania woman has been arrested following a police chase that hit 125 miles per hour - and lasted for 24 miles.
Police reported that a Wisconsin State Trooper was conducting a traffic stop on I-94 in Waukesha County when a female driver narrowly missed striking the Trooper's squad car when she pulled up behind the vehicle and quickly stopped her vehicle.
According to police, the woman flagged down the trooper and told him that she was under the influence of drugs.

As the trooper peacefully obtained the woman's car keys, he went to call for an ambulance.
At this point in the story, you can reasonably assume that the ambulance would arrive on-scene, and the woman would be evaluated and possibly transported to the hospital, and that her vehicle would be towed.

But that is not the case.
According to a report by FOX 6, the woman realized she had a second set of keys on her. She started her car and tore off, nearly striking several vehicles on the interstate as she sped west.
According to police, the chase lasted 24 miles. Police in Waukesha deployed spike strips on the road way in an attempt to deflate the fleeing woman's tires. The attempt failed. Jefferson County deputies tried the same thing in their county - which also failed to stop the apparent drug-induced woman behind the wheel.
After reaching speeds of 125 miles per hour, the woman was eventually pulled over deep into Jefferson County after the chase.
But the pursuit was not over.
According to a WTMJ report, the woman - again - tried to flee police. This time, she fled her vehicle on foot. She didn't end up getting very far. After a short foot pursuit, a State Trooper took her into custody.
After she was arrested, the woman was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The State Patrol is expected to recommend criminal charges.
