Woman Finds Dead Bat in Desk Drawer; Other Waukesha Police Calls

A terminated employee in the 1100 block of Delafield Street may have gotten her revenge on her former boss.

A woman called police at 9:21 a.m. Wednesday after finding a dead bat in her bottom desk drawer. The woman suspected it was an employee who was terminated on Monday.

In other recent Waukesha Police Department calls:

  • A motorcyclist received back and ankle pain after a car vs. motorcycle crash at 3:16 p.m. Wednesday at Highway 59 and South East Avenue. The motorcycle was pinned underneath the car, and the motorcycle had to be towed from the scene.
  • People reportedly were exchanging a large amount of cash at the Waukesha Public Library at 5:57 p.m. Wednesday. Police made contact with one of the men, who told police he exchanged money for concert tickets. The man allowed police to search his residence and police did not find anything suspicious.
  • A woman who was caught mudding in a field at 8:12 p.m. Wednesday at Corporate Drive and Executive Place told police she was trying to turn her vehicle around because she was looking for a potential job. The woman’s vehicle was stuck in the mud. Additionally, police noted there was nothing but an open field at the location. Police are following up with the field’s owners and advised everyone at the scene.
  • A caller reported excessive noise coming from a laser tag business in the 1000 block of Spring City Drive at 9:24 p.m. Wednesday. The caller has called three times in recent history about the noise, but other neighbors have not heard anything excessive. Officers noted that Sunset Drive is loud with traffic noise and that the noise from the business was not excessive.
  • A caller at Walmart reported at 9:50 p.m. Wednesday a possible fraud involving returns after seeing a person changing an outfit in a vehicle. Police made contact with the vehicle and learned a man had changed into a work outfit.
  • A person was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving at 12:22 a.m. Thursday at South Prairie and West College avenues.
  • Two people were involved in a verbal fight over a lost credit card at 6:30 a.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of The Strand.
