Bob had a talent for connecting with people wherever he went, for listening, and for learning their stories. He was a believer in community involvement and a lifelong volunteer.

Bob was a third order Carmelite who began Catholic seminary studies as a high school student in Niagara, Canada. He was called home to support his family in Chicago when his father fell ill. Working days and studying nights, he eventually graduated from Marquette University.

Bob was a Controller for Globe Union/Johnson Controls for over 30 years. He was a Veteran of the Army Air Corps in WWII.
