Police Report: Chocolate Syrup Paint Job, Stolen Vodka

This week's Whitefish Bay police reports also include a struggle with police in the Bay Village townhomes.

Police Report: Chocolate Syrup Paint Job, Stolen Vodka

A scuffle at the Bay Village townhomes led police to issue two domestic violence citations early Friday morning.

Whitefish Bay police responded to a report of domestic violence in the 200 block of Chateau Place at 12:46 a.m. Friday. The fight allegedly started after the 23-year-old woman and 33-year-old man living in one of the townhome units drank a bottle of E&J brandy together, and the woman checked her Facebook page.

The man believed she was using Facebook to contact her ex-boyfriend, so he threw her laptop on the ground, disconnecting the screen from the keyboard. The woman asked her boyfriend to reimburse her for the damage, and when he refused, she kicked his television. The man then tackled her, put his forearm to her jaw area but then released when she tried to bite him.

The room was in disarray when police arrived, with a couch standing upright on its side and computer parts strewn about the floor. In the middle of the debris was a three-month-old infant sleeping in a baby swing. When the woman was being arrested, she refused to cooperate with officers and screamed at them.

Whitefish Bay police recommended criminal charges for domestic violence, but the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office declined to issue charges. An assistant district attorney said he was going to advise the Milwaukee Bureau of Child Welfare about the incident.

In other Whitefish Bay police reports:

  • Someone used chocolate syrup to draw a smiley face on the hood of a 2011 red Chevy Camaro parked in the 5500 block of Hollywood Avenue. The vandalism occurred sometime between 6 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. on Jan. 25. No permanent damage was done to the vehicle.
  • Three bottles of vodka were stolen from CVS Pharmacy at 7:32 p.m. Jan. 26. The suspect took the bottles, threatened employees and then fled westbound on Hampton in an older, blue Toyota Corolla.
