Top AL Restaurants Featured In Michelin Guide 2026

The 2026 Michelin Guide American South has been released, and notable Alabama restaurants have been dished victory.

One of them, Little Betty Steak Bar in Mountain Brook, earned the Michelin Outstanding Service Award, according to a news release on Thursday. Jared Patterson was the recipient.

The guide, in its second year, was revealed during a ceremony Wednesday evening at the Pinnacle in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

Two restaurants in Georgia and one in Louisiana earned one-star Michelin status for the first time.

Fourteen new Bib Gourmands and 31 new recommended restaurants are now part of the Michelin Guide. In total, the guide includes 265 restaurants with 44 various cuisines.

“In its second year, the Michelin Guide American South continues to reveal the remarkable talent and diversity of the region’s culinary landscape,” Gwendal Poullennec, international director of the Michelin Guide, said in the release.

“As our anonymous inspectors continued to explore the South, they found not only exciting momentum in established dining destinations, but also exceptional restaurants in smaller communities and unexpected corners of the region. We are delighted to celebrate the talented restaurant teams recognized in this year’s selection.”

There weren't any Michelin-starred restaurants in Alabama on the list, but there were several Bib Gourmand and recommended eateries.

To achieve Bib Gourmand, restaurants must serve "great food at a great value," according to the release.
