• Jefferson County brushfire that burned more than 200 acres now contained (dailydispatch.com) — A large brushfire in western Jefferson County, affecting the Graysville and Adamsville area near Flat Top Road and I-22, has now been contained after burning more than 200 acres. West Jefferson Fire officials say changing winds caused the fire to re-spark Saturday, but forestry crews cut containment lines and smoke, visible as far as Red Mountain, is no longer spreading.
