Backed by the Hoover Healthcare Authority, the center near Valleydale Road and I‑65 aims to expand outpatient care, surgery, diagnostics, and imaging for Hoover and Central Alabama residents.
   

2. Hoover leaders update stormwater drainage projects (wbrc.com) — If flooding is a headache on your Hoover street, city leaders say millions are being invested right now in stormwater fixes across neighborhoods like Laredo Drive, Chester Street, Riverchase Village, Lester Lane, Glenwood Road, and Green Valley. Hoover mother arrested after toddler nearly drowns, charged with aggravated child abuse (1819news.com) — A Hoover toddler nearly drowned in a backyard pool but was revived thanks to quick CPR from two witnesses, and the child is now being treated at Children's Hospital. Deputies later found the family's Hoover home unsecured and in disarray, leading to the mother's arrest on aggravated child abuse, neglect, and family abandonment charges.
