• You Can Buy A New Toyota Corolla Cross In Mazda's Soul Red Crystal Due To This Assembly Plant (carbuzz.com) — Huntsville’s Mazda Toyota Manufacturing plant is turning out Corolla Cross SUVs alongside Mazda CX-50s, and that joint venture is why Toyota buyers can now get Mazda’s signature Soul Red Crystal paint. The $1.6 billion facility can build over 300,000 vehicles a year, supports thousands of local jobs, and shows how behind-the-scenes partnerships in Huntsville shape what ends up in neighborhood driveways.
• Huntsville nonprofit hosts walk to raise awareness for maternal health support (waff.com) — Huntsville families and advocates gathered at Big Spring Park for a ‘Moms and Midwives on the Move’ walk, spotlighting safer, more accessible birthing options. The local Mom Foundation is pushing to connect marginalized mothers with doulas and midwives, and hopes state lawmakers recognize this support as a safe way to improve birth outcomes.
• New Flights And Terminal Expansion Planned At Gulf Shores Airport (obawebsite.com) — Starting May 21, Huntsville travelers will be able to fly nonstop to Gulf Shores as Allegiant launches new service into the beach city’s growing airport. The facility is adding more routes, parking, live music, food options, and planning a $15 million terminal expansion to handle what’s expected to be its busiest summer yet.
