GSA opposes judiciary property control bill over courthouse maintenance risks (tradersunion.com) — A new federal courthouse in Huntsville was finished in 2024 for $7 million under budget, with upgraded security, energy efficiency, and building technology. Columbia pulls away from Greensboro, ends 101-game losing streak (al.com) — Huntsville fans at Milton Frank Stadium witnessed history Saturday as Columbia finally snapped its 101-game football losing streak with a 41-14 win over Greensboro. The long-awaited breakthrough caps a major roster rebuild under second-year coach Sammie Coates and marks the program's first victory since 2015, energizing local high school football supporters.
4. Federal grant expands health care options to rural Alabama community (al.com) — Huntsville is one of several Alabama cities benefiting from new federal health center funding, as Capstone Health and other providers share in a $102 million HRSA investment. The article spotlights a new Capstone clinic planned for Fayette, detailing expanded primary, women's, and behavioral health services aimed at strengthening care access across rural northwest Alabama.
