• Birmingham racer Stone, 'Malcolm in the Middle' star Muniz win at Barber (trussvilletribune.com) — Racing fans in Leeds saw Birmingham driver Tyler Stone and actor Frankie Muniz capture an Am-class win at Barber Motorsports Park during the UAB Medicine GT World Alabama event. The pair rebounded from a last-place finish the day before, adding another victory to their GT4 America season and keeping their championship hopes strong on Stone's home track.
   

• North Alabama high school bands compete at Rocket City Marching Invitational (waff.com) — Leeds High School's band earned a Best in Class award at the Rocket City Marching Invitational in Madison, standing out among 15 North Alabama bands. Sparkman took grand champion honors, with Buckhorn and Pelham also placing, but Leeds musicians brought home divisional recognition that local students and families can celebrate.
