The Eleventh Circuit rejected Brown's challenge to his conviction and sentence, affirming earlier federal court decisions and drawing praise from Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall.

Auburn man arrested after 'unprovoked attack' leaves man hospitalized (montgomeryadvertiser.com) — A man injured in an alleged unprovoked assault near Auburn's downtown bar district was transferred to the trauma unit at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery with a fractured skull and brain bleed. Auburn police quickly arrested a 20‑year‑old suspect on assault and harassment charges, while the victim's family had turned to social media seeking witnesses.
