• Kiwanis Club of Birmingham honors cross-country team (villagelivingonline.com) — Mountain Brook High School’s girls cross-country team has been honored with the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham’s 2026 Fred Sington Award after winning the Class 6A state championship, the program’s record 28th title. The boys team also captured the 6A state crown at the same meet, highlighting a dominant year for Spartan cross-country runners.
