• Hollywood Boulevard project underway (villagelivingonline.com) — Work is underway to widen Hollywood Boulevard at U.S. 280 and add new sidewalks that will directly connect Mountain Brook and Homewood, improving safety and traffic flow. Funded by the cities, Jefferson County, ALDOT and federal dollars, phase one should finish in about five months, with a larger bridge-widening phase planned to start in 2027.
