BIRMINGHAM, AL — One of Alabama's largest churches continues to grow, as Church of the Highlands announced it will purchase several properties throughout the Birmingham metro. A Birmingham Business Journal report said the mega-church will buy property in Alabaster, McCalla, Woodlawn, west Birmingham and Sylacauga.

The church recently built a new campus off Interstate 65 in Fultondale next to the Fultondale Promenade.
