Four Mountain Brook Grads Selected For UA Fellows Experience

Four incoming freshman from Mountain Brook were selected by the University of Alabama's Honors College for its Fellows Experience.

TUSCALOOSA, AL - Twenty-seven incoming freshmen in The University of Alabama Honors College have been selected for the University Fellows Experience, and four of those students are from Mountain Brook. The program brings together a community of elite scholars from diverse disciplines who share a passion to become change agents through their commitment to leadership and service.

Thomas Bugg, Haskins Jones, Lacy Smith and David Zell were each selected to participate in the program.

To apply to be a Fellow, a student must have an ACT score of 32/SAT score of 1450 or higher and a high school GPA of 3.8 or higher. The students are selected after a rigorous process of phone and on-campus interviews.

Fellows will have opportunities for leadership development, community service and interaction with a variety of academic enterprises at UA.
