Mountain Brook Elementary Student Wins District Spelling Bee
Sally Moore of Mountain Brook Elementary School won this year's district spelling bee, and will represent the district at the county level.
MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - The Mountain Brook Board of Education recognized the winners of each school's spelling bee at this week's board meeting. Each school held its own spelling bee, with a district-wide competition held afterward, and Mountain Brook Elementary student Sally Moore came away with the win.
The individual school winners were:
- Jack Sullivan, Brookwood Forest Elementary
- Mary Jackson Darnall, Cherokee Bend Elementary
- Lib Staples, Crestline Elementary
- Sally Moore, Mountain Brook Elementary
- Cowan Moorer, Mountain Brook Junior High.
Moore will go on to represent Mountain Brook at the county spelling bee.
