Mountain Brook Is The No. 2 High School In Alabama

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - It may not come as a surprise to anyone in Mountain Brook that Mountain Brook High School is among the best high schools in the state of Alabama. In fact, most people in the state likely know that MBHS is among the best. But, is it the number one high school in the state? Not according to a recent study.

The annual Niche.com rankings were released last week, and the research site named the top high schools in every state. The 2019 Best Public High Schools ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users.

Mountain Brook came in at number two, trailing only Montgomery's Loveless Academic Magnet Program High School.

Mountain Brook received an A+ for Academics; an A+ for teachers; an A- for clubs and activities; a C for diversity; an A+ for college prep; an A for administration; and A for food; an A- for sports; an A- for resources and facilities; and an A- for health and safety.
