Mountain Brook Student Receives Davidson's Belk Scholarship

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL - Mountain Brook student Ellie Lipp has received the John M. Belk Scholarship as an incoming student at Davidson College. Lipp will begin her freshman year at Davidson in August.

The John Montgomery Belk Scholarship at Davidson College, one of the most prestigious undergraduate scholarships in the country, recognizes academic prowess, integrity, passion for life, and records of distinction in myriad areas of school and community life.

The scholarship, which includes full comprehensive fees and special study stipends for travel and study, is valued at over $260,000 over four years. Lipp is one of only eight recipients of the scholarship, out of more than 1,200 nominees.

Ellie is the daughter of Eric and Debra Lipp.
