• Registered sex offender arrested after using fake name to rent courts at Pelham rec center (wbrc.com) — Pelham police arrested a registered sex offender Wednesday after he allegedly used a fake name to rent basketball court space at the city recreation center for private kids' training sessions. Officials stress he was never employed by the city or Pelham Parks and Recreation, and say the case is now with the Shelby County District Attorney's Office while the investigation continues.
