• 3rd northbound lane opens on I-59 in Trussville (cbs42.com) — Drivers in Trussville now have a third northbound lane on I-59 between I-459 and Chalkville Mountain Road, easing congestion on a stretch that carries about 63,000 vehicles daily. ALDOT also reopened the U.S. 11 ramp to I-459 North, with remaining work on paving, signage, and resurfacing scheduled through spring 2027.
