• Trussville Rotary Club recognizes September Student & Teacher of the Month (trussvilletribune.com) — Trussville's Daybreak Rotary Club has honored Clay-Chalkville senior Kiara Hernandez Arias as September's Student of the Month and English teacher Jamese Patrick as Teacher of the Month. Arias is recognized for strong academics and activities like Science Olympiad and FBLA, and she credits Patrick for helping her prepare for life after graduation. The club meets Wednesdays at 7 a.m. at First Baptist Church Trussville.
