TUSCALOOSA, AL — A 71-year-old man was critically injured Tuesday night after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a Tuscaloosa roadway.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says TPD officer and Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue paramedics were dispatched on the initial call at approximately 10:15 p.m. to the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 15th Street.
TPD said the man was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross the street. He was then transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Members of the Tuscaloosa Police Department’s Traffic Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
