TUSCALOOSA, AL — The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a tornado warning for portions of Tuscaloosa and Bibb counties, including the communities of Lake View, Vance and Caffee Junction, until 1 p.m. Friday.

According to the NWS, the warning was issued for a radar-indicated tornado moving through the area. Pea-sized hail is also possible with the storm.
The warning polygon includes portions of Interstate 20/59 near Vance and Lake View, and residents in the impacted areas are being urged to take shelter immediately.
People in the path of the storm are advised to move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building and avoid windows. Those traveling along Interstate 20/59 are encouraged to monitor weather conditions closely and seek shelter if necessary.
