TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Student Government Association (SGA) has sworn in its 115th administration of student leaders, which includes several scholars from the Tuscaloosa area.

The new faces include the next SGA president, executive council and 49 senators representing colleges and schools across campus.
The newly elected student leaders will serve the campus community through the spring 2027 semester.
Leading the 115th SGA administration is Samantha Simmons of Decatur, who will serve as president.
Other executive council members include Freddie Nelson of Vestavia Hills as executive vice president; Madelyn Herwig of Tuscaloosa as vice president for academic affairs; Marykate Foster of Fairhope as vice president for belonging and wellness; Reese Langdon of Texarkana, Texas, as vice president for communications; Lily Leitner of Tuscaloosa as vice president for external affairs; Alex Soliz of Dallas as vice president for financial affairs; and Anna Beth Frazier of Birmingham as vice president for student affairs.
