The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said the crash occurred at approximately 10:42 p.m. on Yellow Creek Road near Alabama Highway 69, roughly 14 miles north of Northport.

ALEA said the teen was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado when the pickup left the roadway and overturned as it re-entered the road.

Troopers also said the driver was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

The teen, whose identity has not been released by ALEA at this tine, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
