TUSCALOOSA, AL — Tuscaloosa firefighters responded late Wednesday night to a residential structure fire in Tuscaloosa and were able to bring the blaze under control without any reported injuries.

Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue says crews were dispatched shortly before 11 p.m. to a reported structure fire in the area of 24th Avenue.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the residence but officials said no one was inside the home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, preventing further damage to the structure.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
