After inclement weather and heavy rains suspended the second game of the Super Regional Sunday evening, the Crimson Tide and Red Storm resumed the 7th inning of the contest Monday, with Alabama finishing off St. John's 7-2

The Crimson Tide completed a two-game sweep of the Red Storm and advanced to Omaha for the sixth time in program history (1950, 1983, 1996, 1997, and 1999)

Sunday's game was halted in the 8th inning with Alabama leading 7-2 as severe weather moved through the Tuscaloosa area.

Before play ended for the day, though, Tide third baseman Jason Torres hit a grand slam in the top of the 7th to give Alabama a convincing 7-2 lead in the game's late innings.

On the mound, Zane Adams earned the victory for the Tide, going 6.1 innings and logging eight strikeouts, while surrendering only two earned runs.

The Crimson Tide will now face the winner of Oklahoma and Kansas in the Lawerence Super Regional during its first round appearance in the CWS.
