Cay Strickland Named New Principal At Taylorville Primary School

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Taylorville Primary School this week named Cay Strickland as its new principal.

Strickland began her teaching career at Hillcrest Middle School, where she taught eighth grade English.

She then moved to Hillcrest High School after three years, where she taught English, chemistry and several electives over the next 17 years.

Strickland went on to most recently serve as assistant principal at Sipsey Valley Middle School for nine years.

She has also worked as an adjunct professor at The University of Alabama and Shelton State Community College.

Outside of school, Strickland says she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughters and sons-in-law, baking, reading, working outside and singing in the choir at Valley View Baptist Church.
