Crews Respond To Reported Fire At Restaurant Near UA Campus

Crews responded Monday afternoon to a reported fire at JR Crickets in the Town Center development near the University of Alabama campus.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — Firefighters and law enforcement responded Monday afternoon to a reported fire at JR Crickets in the Town Center development near the University of Alabama campus.

According to a safety alert issued by the University of Alabama shortly after 3 p.m., the restaurant was safely evacuated after the fire was reported.

Personnel from Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue and the University of Alabama Police Department responded to the scene.

University officials urged motorists and pedestrians to avoid the area to allow first responders room to work.

No injuries have been reported and officials had not released information regarding the cause of the fire as of the publication of this story.
