Wine Spectator says the Award of Excellence recognizes restaurants whose wine lists offer at least 75 selections and feature a carefully selected assortment of quality producers that complement the restaurant's menu in both style and price point.

"Receiving Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence is an honor that reflects our team's commitment to creating a wine program that is both approachable and thoughtfully curated," Forté Beverage Manager Caleb Adams said in a statement. "At Forté, we believe wine should enhance the dining experience, inviting guests to explore new regions, producers, and pairings while complementing the flavors coming from our kitchen."

Adams said the recognition reflects the restaurant's commitment to providing guests with memorable dining experiences through both its food and wine offerings.

Wine Spectator Chairman and CEO Marvin R. Shanken said this year's winners were recognized as restaurants continue adapting to changing consumer preferences and evolving dining trends.

"The restaurant industry is rapidly transforming as diners become more selective about when, how and what they drink," Shanken said. "As wine drinkers grow more mindful, restaurants are adapting with creative wine programs."

Wine Spectator's annual Restaurant Awards issue will be available on newsstands July 21.
