Tuscaloosa County To Host Annual Reading Of Declaration Of Independence

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County Bar Association will host its annual public reading of the Declaration of Independence on Thursday, July 2.

The event is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. on the front lawn of the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse.

Organizers say the annual tradition is intended to commemorate the signing of the Declaration of Independence and recognize the ideals on which the United States was founded.

The event is being held as part of America's 250th Celebration, marking the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding.

The public is invited to attend the free event.
