Tuscaloosa County School System Names Three New Principals

The Tuscaloosa County School System (TCSS) has announced three leadership appointments ahead of the new school year

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa County School System (TCSS) has announced three leadership appointments ahead of the new school year, naming new principals for Brookwood High School, Brookwood Elementary School and Westwood Elementary School.

Aaron Tennyson has been selected as the new principal of Brookwood High School after most recently serving as administrator of the Brookwood Career Tech Annex.

Before taking that role, Tennyson served as assistant principal at Maxwell Elementary School. He also previously taught at Duncanville Middle School, bringing experience in both classroom instruction and school administration to his new position.

The district also named Kellie Hubbard as the new principal of Brookwood Elementary School.

Hubbard began her educational career as a teacher at Brookwood Elementary before moving into a series of leadership positions throughout the school system.

She has served as assistant principal at Lake View Elementary, assistant principal at Brookwood High School, principal of Brookwood High School and most recently as the Tuscaloosa County School System's coordinator of human resources.

Kristin Pate has also been appointed principal of Westwood Elementary School.

Pate joins Westwood after serving as assistant principal at Flatwoods Elementary School, where she also spent several years as a classroom teacher before moving into administration.
