TUSCALOOSA, AL — A new wellness and tanning studio is set to open in Tuscaloosa this weekend, with free memberships available for the first customers through the door.

Glo Tanning will celebrate the grand opening of its newest location in the Northridge Center on Saturday at 1825 McFarland Blvd. N., Suite 150.
This will be the company's second Alabama location, with the other in Pelham.
As part of the opening celebration, the company says the first 100 customers to visit the studio will receive a free membership for the month, allowing them to try the company's full range of tanning, skincare and wellness services.
The Tuscaloosa location is locally owned and operated by Renee and David Harmon, who said in the announcement that they hope to expand access to wellness and self-care services while creating jobs in the community.
The Glo Tanning studio offers UV tanning, spray tanning and skincare services, along with wellness amenities including red light therapy, full-body wellness pods and other automated wellness experiences.
"Tuscaloosa is a city with incredible energy, and people here value feeling confident and putting their best foot forward," Glo Tanning CEO Onyi Odunkuwe said in a statement. "Our goal is to create a place where wellness and self-care become part of everyday life, whether someone visits for a quick service or builds a routine that helps them feel their best."
Glo Tanning currently operates more than 150 locations nationwide and says more than 250 additional studios are in development.
