Jennings is scheduled to tee off Thursday at Detroit Golf Club, a par-70, 7,266-yard course in Detroit, Michigan.
The exemption came after Jennings fired a 4-under-par 209 to claim medalist honors at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in September.
He became the second consecutive Crimson Tide golfer to earn a Rocket Classic berth through the event, following Dominic Clemons, who won the tournament in 2024 and made his PGA Tour debut at the 2025 Rocket Classic.
Jennings is coming off one of the best seasons in Alabama men's golf history after finishing the year ranked No. 4 nationally among Division I golfers in the Scoreboard/Clippd rankings and became the program's first First Team All-American since Robby Shelton in 2016.
Overall, Jennings is the ninth player in school history to earn First Team All-America honors.
The Crimson Tide junior also finished runner-up at the 2026 NCAA Men's Golf Championships, posting a 13-under-par 275 over 72 holes.
Earlier in the postseason, Jennings captured the NCAA Marana Regional individual championship with a 15-under-par 201, becoming Alabama's first NCAA Regional champion since 2013 and only the fourth golfer in program history to win a regional title.
Jennings collected three tournament victories during the 2025-26 season — the Folds of Honor Collegiate, the Ben Hogan Collegiate and the NCAA Marana Regional — tying for the second-most individual wins in a single season in Alabama history.
He also recorded eight top-five finishes in 12 tournaments, including three victories and three runner-up finishes.
In addition to his collegiate success, Jennings was selected to represent the United States in the Palmer Cup and was named a finalist for the 2026 Haskins Award, presented annually to the nation's top collegiate golfer.
