TUSCALOOSA, AL — A man is recovering after a shooting Friday evening in Tuscaloosa's West End.

A Tuscaloosa Police Department official confirmed to Patch that officers responded at approximately 7:20 p.m. to the initial call near Stacy's Food Mart in the 3000 block of 29th Street.
The man struck by gunfire was treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
No other details were made available about the circumstances of the shooting, including potential suspects.
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit is now handling the investigation and Patch has reached out to investigators for further comment.
