TUSCALOOSA, AL — A portion of Greensboro Avenue is expected to remain closed through Friday as crews work to repair railroad tracks damaged in a train derailment.

The Tuscaloosa Police Department says Greensboro Avenue is closed at 16th Street because of damage to the railroad tracks in the area.

TPD said motorists traveling through the area should plan to use alternate routes and allow additional time for delays.
