NORTHPORT, AL — A free community Halloween event featuring trick-or-treating, games, inflatables and a costume contest is set to return to Sokol Park North on Halloween.

Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation (PARA) will host Boo! in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sokol Park North.
Organizers said the event will feature candy, games, inflatables, a "Touch a Truck" attraction, a costume contest and other activities for families.
The first hour of the event, from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m., will be designated as sensory-friendly, with no sirens, horns, flashing lights or loud music.
Costume parades are also scheduled for 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Admission to Boo! in the Park is free to the community.
Organizers are currently seeking trunk-or-treat hosts, vendors, food trucks, craft vendors and event sponsors. Community partners and businesses interested in sponsorship opportunities are also being encouraged to participate.
