The Kentuck Festival of the Arts was named the No. 6 festival in the nation in the Fine Art & Design category of Sunshine Artist Magazine's 2026 200 Best rankings, which are based on artists' reported sales from 2025.

The recognition comes as organizers prepare for the 55th annual Kentuck Festival of the Arts, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 17, and Sunday, Oct. 18, at Snow Hinton Park.

As Patch previously reported, this year's festival will once again feature more than 270 artists, along with live music, spoken word performances, children's activities, folk and contemporary craft demonstrations, food trucks and local craft beer.

"We are grateful to our community for making Tuscaloosa, Alabama, a place where arts and culture can thrive," said Exa Cork, executive director of Kentuck Art Center and Festival. "Kentuck has always been about connecting people directly with some of the best artists in the country, and there is no better way to celebrate than to join us this weekend and experience it for yourself."

The festival has grown into one of Tuscaloosa County's largest annual attractions, drawing an estimated 15,000 to 20,000 visitors from across the country each year.

Organizers say the two-day event generates an estimated $5 million in economic impact for West Alabama, making it the largest nonsporting event in Tuscaloosa County.
