In a post on X, the popular soft drink company announced it was giving away a pallet of Dr. Pepper to Rounders, located at 1215 University Boulevard in downtown Tuscaloosa, while supplies last.
"CFB fans in Tuscaloosa," the company wrote when referencing Alabama's 20-17 loss to Georgia on Saturday. "We saw what happened Saturday. The citizens of Fansville wanted to send a little something your way..."
The post included a photograph of several cases of Dr Pepper adorned with a large red sign featuring a pointed message about the officiating.
"State knows a thing or two about getting robbed by the refs," the sign reads. "The citizens of Fansville wanted to send their condolences. Enjoy a Dr. Pepper on us."
The promotion references Dr. Pepper's popular "Fansville" advertising campaign, which features fictional college football fans navigating the rivalries, traditions and drama surrounding the sport.
