Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Westbound Lanes Of I-22 In Walker County

CORDOVA, AL — A multi-vehicle crash early Saturday morning has forced the closure of westbound Interstate 22 in Walker County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the crash occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, near Exit 70 and Country Road 20 in Cordova.

ALEA says the westbound lanes are blocked and are expected to remain closed for an undetermined amount of time.

No information was immediately available regarding injuries or the number of vehicles involved.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and expect delays while crews work to clear the scene.
