Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit Lt. Michael Hall identified the suspect as Taboris Doss, 22, of Tuscaloosa, who was taken into custody without incident at a residence in Northport.

As Patch previously reported, the Tuscaloosa Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 11:09 a.m. Monday in the 6800 block of 34th Street.

When officers arrived, Hall said they found two adults suffering from gunshot wounds that were not considered life-threatening.

Hall then said the victims and witnesses identified Doss as the suspected shooter.

Witnesses reported to investigators that Doss shot the two victims while attempting to shoot a third adult, who escaped injury.

Investigators believe the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute between Doss and the intended target, who was not injured.

Doss is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail without bond under Aniah's Law.
