The City of Tuscaloosa announced Wednesday that residents can pay off $25 overtime parking tickets by donating new toys to Toys for Tots through Nov. 30.

Under the program, a toy valued at $15 or more can be donated in place of a $25 parking ticket.

The city says residents with two $25 parking tickets can satisfy both fines by donating toys with a combined value of at least $30.

Donations can be dropped off at Tuscaloosa Municipal Court, located at 2122 Gary Fitts St., through Monday, Nov. 30.

The city asks participants to provide a purchase receipt or leave a price tag attached to the toy to verify its value.

For additional information, residents can contact Tuscaloosa 311.
